Trailer parking areas are labelled T1 to T5:-
- T1 (past the boathouse) can accommodate three trailers
- T2 (on the canal bank between the IRC pontoons and the catering van) can accommodate three trailers
- T4 (on the canal bank on the South side of the old swing bridge) can accommodate three trailers – CAR ACCESS TO THE BRIDGE TOWER AND BRIDGE MACHINERY FOR THE NEW BRIDGE MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES
- T5 (on the canal bank on the North side of the old swing bridge) can accommodate four trailers
- T3 (in the Torvean car park) should accommodate all remaining trailers – note that parking charges are “on a voluntary basis”. THERE IS NOW A BUS STOP IN THIS LOCATION – ACCESS FOR BUSES MUST BE MAINTAINED AT ALL TIMES. This area will be coned off from around Noon on Friday – please move the cones as necessary to get access for your trailer but replace them as soon as possible thereafter. Space for 5 cars should be left at the entrance to this area to provide parking for IRC cars to transport Umpires and marshals to the start.
Areas for general car parking and boat storage are also indicated on the diagram.
The Higland Council have informed us that they have a “zero tolerance” policy to parking on the pavement. It is likely that any cars parked on pavements will receive a parking ticket.
Please contact us for the access code for the gate that restricts access to the IRC boathouse along the canal bank – access is restricted to towing vehicles only.
